Simple yet effective flavours, use as a side dish to other snacks or add to a salad for something extra
1 can (400g) no added salt chickpeas
1-2 Tsp garlic powder
3 Tb olive oil
1 Tsp salt
1 Tsp black pepper
1 Tb sesame seeds
Optional: if wanted, you can add dried Italian herbs with sesame seeds at the end.
1. Preheat oven to 180C
2. Drain chickpeas and rinse under running water, place chickpeas in a bowl with paper towel to remove excess water.
3. Remove paper towel and add olive oil, mix together. Then sprinkle the garlic powder, salt and pepper over the chickpeas and mix again.
4. Tip chickpeas onto a medium baking tray and spread evenly. Bake for 10-15 minutes, you want them crunchy but not burnt.
5. Remove from the oven and place in a bowl, sprinkle the sesame seeds over the chickpeas and serve.
